Top 3 Ways A Change of Scenery Is Good for Your Health

Guest post by Robyn from A Dime Saved- A Dime Saved is a Dime Earned

Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in a rut? You’re walking the same routes every day, going to the same places with the same people. You sleep in the same bed every night and you deal with the same problems wherever you go. It gets boring. You start to hate where you are. It’s for this reason that many people choose to head off on a vacation; escape is needed!

Your health can seriously nosedive if you’re feeling helpless. It can lead to depression and stress, and it’s not good for you to feel that way just because of the scenery outside the window.

Sometimes, life just has to change permanently, and the vacation is just not enough. But sometimes you just need a change, a new place to explore, and then you can come back to your life happy and refreshed.  A change of scenery can do you the world of good, and if you’re still struggling, here are the top three reasons that this change of pace could really do well for your health.

You’ll Feel Happier

All those mornings you felt low when looking out the window stop happening when you have the movers ready to get you out of the situation that you are in. You know that things are about to change, and just the fact you know this can make a big difference to your life. You can increase your happiness because you have a different view out of the window. Perhaps you are heading somewhere sunnier. Perhaps you’re checking out a new area and you see things and concepts that you have never seen before.  Perhaps you’ve got new places to explore. No matter the reason, you’ll feel fantastic after getting that change of scenery. These types of experiences make you feel happier.

You’ll Break Some Bad Habits

Do you find that feeling low because of where you live is making you overeat? Are you using another habit to compensate for your feelings? When you get what you want, you’ll be able to feel lighter and less likely to succumb to those habits. You get the chance to feel good physically as you won’t be turning to bad habits to find some happiness in yourself. Seeing as you no longer need to rely on those habits for happiness, your day-to-day life will be much freer and lighter!

Your Self-Esteem Will Soar

When you experience a change of scenery, you benefit from a huge boost in your self-esteem. You’ll be more likely to feel motivated enough to go outside and DO things with your life. You’ll spend more time exploring your surroundings, which gets you into nature and the effect of that is feeling better about yourself. Self-confidence is simply a by-product of that change of scenery you so crave.
