1-Visit Broadway at the Beach
Broadway at the Beach is a great attraction located in Myrtle Beach. It is an entertainment complex that surrounds a small lake. It features shopping, dining, and activities for travelers of all ages. Here you can explore the Broadway Grand Prix (rides, arcades, go-karts, and a rock climbing wall), take a ride on a jet boat, play some mini-golf, visit Wonderworks, or just spend some time walking and shopping.

2-Take a ride on SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, the 187 foot tall ferris wheel that sits on the beach overlooking the ocean. Enjoy a few minutes of quiet inside a climate controlled gondola.

3-Stroll the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The Boardwalk offers stunning views of the ocean while also providing access to great shops, restaurants, and attractions. Along the boardwalk are Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium, Ripley’s Moving Theater, Ripley’s Mirror Maze, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, and arcades. Oh, and don’t forget- lots of great food! The boardwalk will keep children busy for hours!

4-Soak up the sun at the beach. It is no secret that Myrtle Beach is full of great beaches. Soak up the sun, let the younglings build some sand castle, enjoy a drink (or two!) while you listen to the waves rolling up on the shore!

5-Visit the Hollywood Wax Museum.
Take a trip to the wax museum and see life like wax figures of some of your favorite characters and actors/actresses, such as Reese Witherspoon, Katie Perry, Robin Williams, and many many more! This attraction is sure to be fun for the whole family.

6-Visit a water or amusement park. There are a number of great water and amusement parks located throughout Myrtle Beach. If you want to take a break from the salt water and waves of the ocean (a big IF), then stop by one of the water parks where you can enjoy some fresh water water slides and attractions. Kids will be sure to love it!

7-VIsit Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum!

Visit multiple exhibits that display world records and shocking occurrences, experience a 5D moving theater, test your luck at Ripley’s Super Fun Arcade Zone, or give it a shot at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure Laser Strike.

8-Visit the T.IG.E.R.S. Preservation Station or take a Myrtle Beach Safari

    This activity is quite expensive, but if you are an animal lover it is worth it. Come face to face with tiger cubs and apes and observe as tigers interact with their young. All money received goes to help endangered species.

9-Visit Barefoot Landing. Barefoot Landing is another great shopping complex that offers shops, food, and attractions. Here you can find animal experiences such as the T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station mentioned above or Alligator Adventure. On select nights during the summer months you can also catch a fireworks show.

10-Spend the morning at Rock’n’Jump Myrtle Beach. Rock ‘n’ Jump Myrtle Beach is a great attraction to get out of the sun for a while. Spend a couple hours letting your young ones get their energy out at the trampoline park, or if you want join in with them!

11-Try your hand at mini-golf. There is no shortage of mini golf courses throughout Myrtle Beach, each with their own unique look and feel. Dragon;s Lair mini golf is located right at Broadway on the Beach, so you can challenge your younglings to a game of golf and then enjoy the other great attractions Broadway at the Beach has to offer.

12- Explore Brookgreen Gardens. Brookgreen Gardens is a great way to spend a few hours. Get out of the direct sun and take in the beautiful views of sculptures and plant life. The gardens also offer a zoo, butterfly conservatory, and story book village that your child will love. This is a great option to let them run and play for a while.

13-Visit Ripley’s Aquarium. Located at Broadway at the Beach, Ripley’s Aquarium is another great way to get out of the sun for a while and see some ocean life. The aquarium has many great features including an underwater tunnel experience and play away for you children to run and get all that pent up energy out!

  1. I’ve never been to South Carolina but if I do in the future I’ll definitely be heading to Myrtle Beach! The Ripley’s stuff sounds fun and I’m especially keen about getting to meet tiger cubs! xxx

    • Meeting the tiger cubs was definitely the highlight! They also have a drive through safari you can do, but I did not include that as I have not had the opportunity to experience this yet.
